I began studying the brain in 2002 so I could understand what was happening to me.
My memory was bad and getting worse.
Then I lost my ability to talk so I could be understood. Both cognitive functions.
The world I knew was leaving me, and no one could tell me why.
Spiral notebooks became my memory. I communicated by writing.
Dementia was on my radar.
I learned that my brain was unhealthy. I had to get my brain back to good health… And I did!
I not only cured my cognitive problems, I expanded my cognitive abilities.
I knew others could benefit from what I had learned, so I wrote “A User’s Guide to a Healthy Brain”.
I began teaching and speaking.
I was the Brain Health Coach on cable TV, guest speaker on TEDx, and I worked with people having memory problems.
Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia are horrible afflictions.
With the experience I had, I knew I could help prevent, at least, some of it, possibly help those in the early stages to recover their memory…
So I wrote “Don’t Shrink Your Brain, Avoid Alzheimer’s and Dementia”
